This is my story
This is the story of my passion for anything on
four wheels. I have been a gearhead as long
as I can remember, and I have been taking
stuff apart and rebuilding it ever since I could
pick up a screwdriver. Believe it or not, my love
of cars all started with a Mighty Maverick Hot
Wheels. I was hooked on custom cars. If you
know me it's obvious that I still play with Hot
Wheels, but I like to play with the real ones too.
As a kid I spent hours playing with Hot Wheels,
Tonka Trucks and building Monster Trucks out
of Legos that had four wheel drive, four wheel
steering, and four wheel suspension with
engines and transmissions. Thats how my
mechanical background began. I went on to
get an Applied Science Degree and became a
Master Technician and then a Master Body
Technician. I have worked on  everything from
a Jr Dragster to a Top Alcohol Dragster, from a
Model A to Nissan Z.   Enough about me, my
Hot Rod is a 1938 Ford pickup that a friend of
mine, Matt Vos showed me back in the 2000.
There really wasn't much too see at the time,
the cab and box were setting next to a barn and
the frame was halfway sunk in the mud. It
looked like too big of a project for me to tackle,
so I forgot about it. In the winter of 2003 Matt
told me the barn was starting to fall in and
asked if I had any thoughts about the truck,
because it might get smashed. I threw the idea
around and decided that I would take the truck,
only because I always wanted to chop
something and with a $200 price tag, I figured I
could sell the title and get half my money back.
I would chop it and the scrape it and have well
over 2 bills worth of learning experience. In the
spring of '04 I became the proud owner. My
wife's first word were " Where is the rest of it?"
In the spring of '04 I became the proud owner.

A good friend, Chris R's '38 project is a little more complete.
It's a good reference to see where all my parts belong.
